Agile ground mantids or Litaneutria minorrange from Mexico through California, Colorado, and the desert southwest to Washington and British Columbia. They are small-- the larger specimen here was perhaps an inch long while the nymph measured about half as long--and difficult to see. Males have wings while females and nymphs have at the most undeveloped wing pads. |
